I love hot weather. So when I moved to hot weather from cold weather, I naturally wanted to track how much more hot weather I was getting.

I was able to find dygraphs–a neat little JavaScript graphing library (with a ton of options for extensibility) and thought it would be fun to put it to use. I wrote a little script to query Weather Underground daily for both San Antonio and Whitehall temperatures and write them to a CSV file.

And behold, the finished product: Weather Comparison.

The graph captures high, median, and low temperatures. I love the ability to zoom in and out. And since it’s been gathering data for over a year, the graph makes for some fun comparisons.

Go hot weather!
